Wizkid has bagged the song of the year at the Headies Awards 2022 with his hit song ‘Essence’ that features Tems.

Wizkid has increased his tally at the Headies Awards as he bagged the award of the Song Of The Year with his hit song ‘Essence’ at the 15th edition of the prestigious award ceremony which was held on Sunday, September 4, 2022.

‘Essence’ has been a massive hit following its release in 2020 as it became the first song by a Nigerian artist to chart in the top 10 of the billboard hot 100, it also became one of the songs to be certified platinum in the US after selling over a million copies in the state.

The popularity of ‘Essence’ has been unprecedented with many artists regarding it as one of the greatest songs out of the country.
