“This corruption is getting out of hand” – Singer, Paul Okoye slams Minister of Sport after Nigerian female basketball team was kicked out of world cup

Popular singer, Paul Okoye otherwise known as Rudeboy, has expressed outrage after the Nigerian female basketball team was kicked out of the World Cup.

The International Basketball Federation, FIBA, announced the news on Thursday, June 2, and replaced them with Mali.

The decision to withdraw Nigeria comes after President Buhari banned the country from participating in all international basketball competitions and activities for a period of two years.

After the Nigerian basketball team refused to confirm its participation in the World Cup, FIBA withdrew them from the competition and threatened to sanction Nigeria for their action.

Reacting to this development, Rude Boy took to his Instastory to lambast the Minister of Sport for not doing anything to make sure the female basketball team make it to the World Cup.

He added the corruption in Nigeria is getting out of hand and everyone should go get their PVCs.

The singer wrote,

“This corruption is getting out of hands!!
Can somebody ask the minister of sport why our Nigeria basket female team are not going to the World Cup?

Tufiakwa!!
Corruption at its peak.

Fellow Nigerians!! Get your PVC.

Minister of youths and sports my ass..

So a minister thinks he has the power to forcefully withdraw a whole team representing our country in a world cup?

All man just dey use him power anyhow.”
