Starboy Wizkid has set a new record as he became the first African artist in history to achieve an unmatched feat with his album ‘Made In Lagos.’
It has been records on records for Wizkid with one of his best projects, ‘Made In Lagos’ as he became to first African artist to achieve an unmatched feat in the US.
Wizkid’s ‘Made In Lagos’ album has been certified gold in the US by the RIAA as he is the only African artist to receive this honour. The album, which was released on the 29th of October 2020, was certified gold by the RIAA on the 25th of August 2022 after selling over 500,000 units in the US.
Although African songs have been RIAA certified, this is the first time an African album has received such an honour.
