Simi Gets Dragged For Reacting Fast To Wizkid’s Grammy Loss And Not Congratulating Yemi Alade
It looks like Simi has landed in hot water as she is being blasted for reacting a little ‘too fast’ to Wizkid’s Grammy loss
The dragging began after Simi took to her Twitter account to join Wizkid FC ranting about how the Grammys robbed Wizkid of his awards.
The Joromi singer slammed Nigerians for acting like they are representing 2 different Nigeria- Those who are happy Wizkid didn’t win #30BG, and those who are sad he Lost #WizkidFC. According to Simi, it is not fair and Nigerians should learn to support their own. Her tweet provoked a lot of Twitter users who wasted no time in calling her out for hypocrisy.
A Twitter user identified as Sodiq dragged Simi for not applying the same energy when her colleagues failed to celebrate Davido’s FIFA World Cup achievement. He also reminded her of how she didn’t congratulate Yemi Alade, but she is quick to talk about division because Wizkid lost to another African.
His tweet hit a nerve with Simi who informed Sodiq that she celebrated Yemi Alade. Simi also recounted how she celebrated Davido on Instagram when others including her husband, Adekunle Gold failed to do so.
Simi’s explanation only made Twitter users angry as they savagely dragged her the second time.
